Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position in the United States is $87,758 - $116,285.18. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Join Our Team as a Senior Digital Communications Specialist!

The Senior Digital Communications Specialist is responsible for shaping, executing, and optimizing our social media strategy across enterprise social media channels. This role spearheads the content creation and visual storytelling across social platforms and partners closely with corporate and product content teams to guide programmatic activities and ongoing improvement of our social channels. The Senior Digital Communications Specialist pushes for creative, fresh ideas while ensuring alignment with brand objectives, business priorities, and audience needs. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on-able to craft insight-driven recommendations, lead paid and organic social initiatives, analyze performance trends, and oversee employee and influencer programs that amplify our brand presence.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Strategy & Channel Management

  • Develop and oversee multi-channel social media strategies that support corporate and product marketing priorities.
  • Think strategically about long-term channel positioning, content mix, audience targeting, and engagement approaches and identify when strategies need refining.
  • Create best practices for each platform and coach internal stakeholders on thoughtful social use.
  • Ensure a cohesive and differentiated brand presence across all social media touchpoints and continued maturation of social platforms.
  • Ties social strategies to the overarching digital experience for customers and audience segments.

Content Creation & Visual Storytelling

  • Identity and pitch new, creative content ideas that push for fresh, platform-appropriate activity while maintaining brand guidelines.
  • Strong ability to independently write catchy, captivating content that compels audiences to engage.
  • Create basic social assets using design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express, InDesign, or similar).
  • Collaborate with designers and videographers to bring larger creative concepts to life by providing clear briefs, feedback, and direction for visual and video content.
  • Proactively develop and maintain editorial calendar to plan content related to company initiatives and execute in a timely manner.

Platform Intelligence & Trends Monitoring

  • Stay informed on platform algorithm updates, best practices, new features and industry benchmarks to keep strategies current.
  • Monitor emerging trends, audience behavior, and cultural trends to identify new content opportunities.
  • Share insights and apply learnings to ensure content relevance and support ongoing optimization.

Stakeholder Consultation & Collaboration

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to corporate and product content teams and coach them on social content creation.
  • Provide strategic recommendations on content, messaging, formats, timing, and platform features and use.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including content strategists, graphic designers, and videographers/animators, to bring social concepts to life.
  • Support internal teams with social expertise during campaigns, announcements, and product launches.

Paid Social Campaign Management (LinkedIn Focus)

  • Lead planning, execution, and optimization of paid LinkedIn campaigns.
  • Provide guidance on targeting, objectives, content formats, and messaging.
  • Recommend budget allocations and monitor pacing, spending efficiency, and campaign ROI.
  • Ensure campaigns align with broader marketing goals and overarching channel strategies.

Performance Analytics & Optimization

  • Own social media reporting, dashboards, and performance insights in close collaboration with data analysts.
  • Analyze platform trends, content performance, and audience behavior to refine strategy and continually optimize channels.
  • Plan and execute tests to experiment with new ideas and refine content substance, creative, and copy.
  • Translate data into actionable recommendations and present findings to internal stakeholders.

Employee Advocacy Program Management

  • Oversee the internal employee advocacy program to amplify corporate and product content.
  • Develop monthly content bundles, engagement prompts, and internal promotion tactics.
  • Track program performance and identify opportunities to increase employee participation and reach.

Social Listening & Insights

  • Manage the social listening platform to monitor conversations, brand mentions, and emerging topics.
  • Synthesize insights into regular summaries for corporate and product teams.
  • Identify risks, opportunities, audience sentiment, and competitive trends.

Community Building & Engagement

  • Grow and nurture online communities by strategically following relevant individuals, partners, industry voices, and customers to expand visibility and engagement.
  • Actively monitor conversations across social platforms to identify opportunities for real-time interaction and brand visibility.
  • Initiate and respond to comments, messages, and discussions in a timely, brand-appropriate manner.
  • Develop the strategy and framework for a new influencer/creator program.
  • Identify relevant influencers/creators, vet opportunities, and manage ongoing relationships.
  • Oversee content collaboration, compensation processes, and performance measurement.
  • Ensure influencer/creator content aligns with brand voice, product messaging, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Attend in-person or virtual meetings as requested or required.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with others.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Influencer & Creator Program Development

  • Develop the strategy and framework for a new influencer/creator program.
  • Identify relevant influencers/creators, vet opportunities, and manage ongoing relationships.
  • Oversee content collaboration, compensation processes, and performance measurement.
  • Ensure influencer/creator content aligns with brand voice, product messaging, and compliance requirements.

Additional Functions:

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Attend in-person or virtual meetings as requested or required.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with others.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

What you'll need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or related roles.
  • Proven success developing and managing social strategies for B2B or corporate brands.
  • Hands-on experience running paid campaigns, ideally with strong LinkedIn expertise.
  • Experience with social analytics, employee advocacy tools, and social listening platforms.
  • Mastery of social management platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar).
  • Experience with social listening tools (e.g., Meltwater, Brandwatch, TalkWalker) and advocacy tools (e.g., EveryoneSocial, Sprout Advocacy, Hootsuite Amplify).
  • Familiarity with reporting dashboards and data visualization tools.
  • Basic design skills (Canva, Adobe Express, InDesign, or equivalent).
  • Strong communication, writing, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to translate data into insights and insights into recommendations.
  • Comfortable consulting with senior stakeholders across multiple teams.
  • Highly organized, nimble, and possessing strong project management skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to maintain high quality of work.
  • Proactive, independent, and a self-starter.
  • Creative thinker with an understanding of digital storytelling and platform nuance.
  • Willing to grow, open to feedback, and a positive collaborator.
  • Ability to professionally represent S&C with outside vendors, organizations, and collaborators.
