Agent 365 is Microsoft's unified control plane for AI agents-providing a comprehensive platform for agent registry, lifecycle management, access governance, observability, interoperability, and security. The Agent 365 Tools Team builds the tooling, infrastructure, and evaluation systems that empower agents to perform reliably at scale.

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop modern, highscale, and inclusive frontend experiences that enable agents to use tools effectively. If you thrive on building intuitive, performant user interfaces using the latest technologies and enjoy collaborating with engineers, designers, and researchers to bring ideas to life, this is the role for you.

In this position, you'll work across the stack with a strong emphasis on frontend development. You'll contribute to the design and implementation of innovative features that power Agent 365 Tools, helping shape the future of how users interact with AIdriven tools.



Responsibilities
  • Design and build innovative, high-quality user experiences that are performant, accessible, and scalable.
  • Develop and deliver reliable, secure, and efficient software solutions that enhance the scalability, performance, and maintainability of our services-with a strong focus on rapid iteration and high-quality execution.
  • Drive features and projects from ideation through delivery, solving open-ended technical challenges with creativity, urgency, and ownership.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional stakeholders to deliver cohesive, endtoend solutions.
  • Proactively identify system bottlenecks and areas for improvement, and propose and implement enhancements to architecture, processes, and product capabilities.
  • Foster a healthy, inclusive, and growth-oriented team culture by mentoring peers, sharing technical expertise, and contributing to team success.


Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
  • Provenexpertisein modern front-end technologies includingReact, Typescript, and related technologies with a strongtrack recordof delivering high-performant, accessible, and scalable experiences in production.

Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
