Farnsworth Group is seeking a Transportation Structural Engineering Associate - Entry-Level in one of the posting locations below. In this role, youwill have an opportunity to work with experienced engineers and a variety of transportation structural projects that serve local and nationwide clients.
Posting Locations for this role: Champaign, Lisle, or Normal, IL


What You'll Do:


  • Prepare and develop structural planning, analysis and design for structural aspects of transportation projects that could include: steel plate girders, prestressed concrete, reinforced concrete, substructures, foundations, box culverts, retaining and noise walls, interchange or river structures for highway and railway bridge projects



What You'll Need:


  • Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited Civil Engineering program, or Architectural Engineering, with a concentration in Structural Engineering required
  • EIT Certification, required
  • 0 - 2 years of Transportation or Structural experience, preferred
  • Project experience in the design and construction of transportation structures preferred
  • Experience working with IDOT/ ISTHA projects/ clients preferred
  • Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment who can work on and contribute to several projects simultaneously
  • Experience with MicroStation and/ or AutoCAD
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be willing to work outside in various weather conditions
  • The employee must frequently lift and/ or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds

Salary Range: $66,000 - $75,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
