Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Unit in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced manufacturing and industrial location as an armed patrol officer. You will conduct routine patrols across buildings and grounds, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control with professional communication. Bring strong customer service, clear reporting, and a calm, integrity-driven approach while partnering with site teams to keep daily operations running smoothly.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or suspicious conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, coordination with site contacts, and timely notification of law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Control access for employees, contractors, and deliveries by verifying identification, monitoring entry and exit points, and documenting visitor and vehicle activity per site procedures.
  • Complete clear, accurate reports and logs, including incident reports, patrol observations, and shift activity, and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • This is primarily a driving post.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
