Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Armed Access Transportation in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor security-related systems to support orderly visitor and employee access. You will remain highly visible, document activity, and communicate clearly with staff and responders while delivering customer service with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at a government location by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials as directed, managing visitor sign-in and sign-out, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Monitor entry points, gates, and/or screening areas to help identify unauthorized access attempts, prohibited items, and policy violations, reporting concerns through established channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter lines, checking doors, gates, and restricted areas and reporting maintenance and/or security-related issues.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Three or more years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience is required or a college degree is required.
  • Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
