The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager for Identity & Access Management to help define and drive the next generation of authentication, authorization, and developer-facing identity capabilities across Splunk. You will work closely with engineering leadership to build foundational and forward-looking identity services supporting customers, workloads, machines, and-critically-AI and agent-driven interactions inside Splunk's emerging AI platform.

Identity is the trust fabric of Splunk. You will shape the evolution of secure access across everything we build-from human login to autonomous agent access, workload trust bootstrap, cross-cloud session security, and policy enforcement at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap in partnership with engineering, platform, and product orgs-balancing customer needs, scale, compliance and future-ready architecture.

  • Own product strategy for identity standards such as SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SCIM, as well as modern authorization models (RBAC, ABAC, PBAC, scoped tokens, fine-grained policy).

  • Drive the next generation of Splunk identity to support AI systems, autonomous agents, machine-identity issuance, short-lived credentials, and Just-In-Time trust workflows.

  • Define and evolve authentication and authorization for agent-to-agent (A2A) interactions, delegated access, workload identity bootstrap, and agentic policy governance.

  • Partner deeply with customers, enterprise security teams, field, and developers to gather feedback, validate requirements, and translate insights into platform-level capabilities.

  • Lead product lifecycle execution-from vision design rollout adoption-with measurable delivery outcomes and release clarity across the Splunk ecosystem.

  • Promote continuous learning, modernization, and new identity models such as zero-trust enforcement, passwordless authentication, and adaptive policy powered by AI-driven signals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (advanced degree a plus).

  • 7+ years experience in Product Management, Identity, Security, or relevant technical platform roles.

  • Deep understanding of IAM fundamentals: OAuth, OIDC, JWT, SCIM, mutual-TLS, session/token security, and enterprise authorization patterns (RBAC, ABAC, PBAC).

  • Experience with platform-scale identity systems, preferably in distributed cloud environments.

  • Skilled in writing proposals, narratives, and roadmaps; able to drive alignment across engineering, security, field, and customer collaborators.

  • Experience with Splunk architecture or administering Splunk products is strongly preferred.

  • Understanding of AI-powered policy engines, identity automation, workload/agent identity, threat-adaptive AuthN/AuthZ, or agent-first access orchestration is a strong differentiator.
