About Clinical Development

The Medical Affairs team is responsible for the development and execution of the medical affairs strategy, programs and deliverables, consistent with the company compliance policies in support of Tolmar products, both generic and branded. Members of the team are responsible for strategic and scientific input on future products and marketed projects and programs, working collaboratively to ensure the scientific integrity of all research, information, and communication with healthcare providers and other key thought leaders.

Operationally, the team works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to forge productive and compliant partnerships with the internal product development and commercial teams, as well as external healthcare providers, customers, and therapeutic area experts.

Proposed Work Description

The nature of business is that priorities can shift according to the needs of the company/department, and therefore the work described below is a sampling of the kinds of work we expect this position to entail:

The position will support Tolmar Medical Affairs by:



  • Assisting with scientific, administrative, and strategic tasks, including medical writing, literature reviews/ white papers, and data analyses.
  • Preparing high quality scientific, medical, and educational materials that may be shared internally or externally.
  • If applicable, attending or supporting preparation for scientific congresses, advisory boards, or investigator meetings.
  • Learning and adhering to compliance standards, applicable regulations for drug development, and standard operating procedures.
  • Interpreting, reviewing, and discussing clinical trial data and publications.
  • Serving as a point of contact when interacting closely with project teams across departments and with external vendors, if applicable.
  • General support to the medical science liaisons and medical affairs team.
  • Celebrating and showcasing your work with a final presentation.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities



  • Ability to interact collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills with an ability to communicate scientific concepts to a variety of individuals with varied backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently when needed.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks demonstrating strong organization and time management skills; to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient computer skills with demonstrated experience in working with Microsoft Suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook).
  • Interested in pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical industry.

Education & Experience



  • Pursuing a college- or graduate-level degree in a related scientific field (i.e. biology, toxicology, pharmacology, chemistry/biochemistry, molecular biology).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher


Working Conditions



  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Work is performed primarily remotely. Intern must have access to a private, quiet working area during business hours (8 AM-5 PM Mountain Time).
  • There may be an opportunity for occasional and limited domestic travel that might occur on evenings or weekends.

  • Pay: $19.00 per hour
