ROLE OVERVIEW:

Typical schedule is Monday - Friday 6:00PM - 6:00 AM with frequent Saturday work. Hours may vary depending on weather and customer demand.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)

1. Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained
2. Move hand and foot controls safely to properly operate articulated dump truck to transport and dump loose materials.
3. Be able to quickly and repeatedly adjust controls of machine to exact positions as necessary.
4. Perform other duties, including labor intensive tasks, as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements)

1. Safety first attitude required
2. Previous experience operating 35-ton 735 Cat Articulated truck
3. A Valid driver's license in good standing
4. Ability to pass a criminal background and pre-employment drug screen

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (types and extent of knowledge, skills or abilities an incumbent must possess to complete the job responsibilities satisfactorily)

1. Basic knowledge of plant operation, conveyor systems, and maintenance.
2. Must have good mechanical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
3. Need positive attitude and the ability to work well with others and follow directions.
4. Equipment operation skills helpful.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

1. Extensive walking on uneven surfaces.
2. Lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
3. Exposure to dust, fumes, odors.
4. Hand eye coordination.
5. Exposure to mists, adhesives, acids.
6. Frequent and/or extended periods requiring kneeling, bending, and/or twisting.
7. Operating equipment at night under artificial lighting.
8. Working in all weather conditions for extended period of time
