The primary location of this position is the main Cullowhee, NC campus.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve students, parents, and campus partners by answering questions and helping to resolve issues related to student charges and collections. The employee will act as a vital piece of the Student Accounts Office, and will assist the Student Accounts Manager in: * Third-party billing; * Entering cash, credit card, and wire payments into Banner (an Ellucian
ERP system); * Operating and balancing a cash drawer; * Preparing bank deposits; * Answering student account inquiries in compliance with applicable policies and procedures, as dictated by relevant state and federal laws; * And other related duties as assigned.
Approximate hours per week would be 25-30. |

* Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
* Ability to work well and interact professionally with others - including with faculty and staff.
* Must possess integrity and be able to handle confidential information.
* Must be detail-oriented and able to accurately organize and manage datasets.
* Must possess organizational and time management skills sufficient to monitor multiple forms of communication, and to keep workspace organized and secure.
* Ability to prioritize various tasks and follow standard operating procedures, while also adhering to reporting deadlines and ensuring that tasks are carried out accurately.
* Ability to retain and recall detailed policies and procedures and apply that knowledge consistently and independently. |
| Minimum Qualifications |
High school diploma or equivalency, and one-year of cashiering experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. |
| Preferred Qualifications |
Experience in higher education and cashiering is preferred. Ideal candidate would have experience working in Banner or an equivalent
ERP system. |
