What You'll Do:
- Accountable for the safety, quality, productivity, housekeeping, and overall performance of assigned maintenance personnel and contractors
- Provide direct field leadership to millwright trades and contract personnel executing daily maintenance activities
- Manage and coordinate daily maintenance work to ensure high-quality execution and schedule adherence
- Conduct performance management, coaching, and development of direct report
- Support and drive proactive maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution strategies
- Ensure maintenance work aligns with Nutrien standards, best practices, and site procedures
- Review equipment purchases, installations, and modifications to ensure compliance with industry and site standards
- Support long-term maintenance planning, asset management strategies, and reliability initiatives
- Lead and support incident investigations; implement corrective actions and lessons learned
- Manage maintenance costs and labor resources to support budget objectives
- Maintain working knowledge of plant processes and operating requirements
- Identify, report, and correct safety hazards; implement risk mitigations as required
- Ensure compliance with site, company, and regulatory policies and standards
- Facilitate effective cross-functional communication between all departments.
- Partner with Scheduling to maintain proactive daily and weekly maintenance schedules
- Communicate work scope, priorities, and instructions clearly to maintenance personnel
- Conduct pre-job and post-job field walkdowns to verify scope, safety, and quality
- Provide leadership coverage for off-hours and emergency maintenance activities as required
- Support prioritization of routine, corrective, and shutdown maintenance work
- Manage overtime usage and contract labor effectively
- Perform periodic backlog reviews within the work management system
What You'll Bring:
- 5-10 years of maintenance experience in a chemical manufacturing or industrial environment
- 3 plus years of supervisory experience in an industrial plant environment
- High School Diploma required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
- 2-3 years of experience using the SAP Maintenance Module
- Strong interpersonal, planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead in a fast-paced, team-based environment
- Knowledge of ammonia, urea, or syngas processes preferred
