Synchron, LLC is recruiting for a Technical Editor / Action Tracking Liaison. As the Technical Editor for the PMS 525 International Unmanned and Small Combatants (IUSC) program office reviews materials submitted by subject matter experts (SMEs) for clarity, punctuation, grammar, content, consistency, and format.


  • Reviews materials such as letters, documents, briefs, etc. created by SMEs and technical experts for clarity, punctuation, grammar, content, and format with a high level of accuracy
  • Formats letters and enclosures based on the Navy Correspondence Manual
  • Assists the Program Manager, SMEs, and/or Strategic Communications Analyst with drafting of correspondence to be delivered to the customer or U.S. stakeholders
  • Develops templates for briefings and documents
  • Understands nuances of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and consults with Foreign Disclosure about whether documents should be marked
  • Provides a 'polish' to documents and briefings so all content is finalized and ready for PM/DPM review and signature
  • Manages compiling of inputs to the Monthly Status Report (MSR) and prepares for PM/DPM review and signature
  • Determines when documents are ready to be serialized and to start the PM/DPM review and signature process
  • Assists with uploading correspondence for endorsement and delivery


As the Action Tracking Liaison for PMS 525, tracks all actions assigned via meetings (formal and informal) with the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF). The Action Tracking Liaison captures clear and actionable activities, dates for completion, and tracks the status of these items from initiation until closure.

  • Maintains the master Action Item list for the program office
  • Holds regular Action item reviews with PAPMs, Task Leads, and/or Action Officers for status and/or proposed completion
  • Tracks the closing of informal actions as products are delivered via regular meetings with the RSNF Foreign Liaison Officers and closes formal actions via formal letters
  • Briefs PM/DPM on Action Item statuses as due dates and/or major out briefings (such as Program Management Reviews) approach
  • Assists the Front Office team with in-office actions such as running virtual meetings, maintaining check-in of guests and stock of visitor badges, and helping to prepare for Program level conferences and meetings.


Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience with technical editing in a government setting
  • BA or BS degree and 3+ years of experience with writing or editing
  • Must have, or be able to obtain, a DoD Secret security clearance
  • Ability to use a variety of word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and scheduling tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
