Community Coordinator The Summer Student Program brings undergraduates from across the US for mentored research projects at The Jackson Laboratory in Farmington CT. The Community Coordinator(s) assist the Residential Supervisor in driving SSP participants to (8am)/from JAX(5pm) on weekdays according to a schedule, participating in an evening shuttle rotation, and organizing group outings and activities on weekends. Community Coordinator(s) are invited to participate in SSP community meals and mentor dinners. The Community Coordinator(s) are expected to participate in the weekly staff meetings. With oversight and guidance from the Resident Supervisor and the Program Director of the Summer Student Program, Community Coordinator(s) will help to foster programmatic harmony through communication and problem-solving with both students and Program staff while maintaining confidentiality, and ensures student safety through awareness and compliance with JAX policies. This position is seasonal; applicants need to be available from May to August. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (WHAT YOU CONTRIBUTE):
