Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of the Office of Student Engagement & Support, the Assistant Director plays a key role in supporting the operational, strategic, and assessment efforts of the office across campuses. This role supports day-to-day logistics, budget tracking, supervises professional and graduate-level staff, manages student-centered programming, and ensures alignment with the university's mission and strategic priorities. The Assistant Director is instrumental in leading data-informed efforts designed to enhance student engagement and success. This includes analyzing participation trends to identify under-engaged students, supporting outreach strategies that increase student connection to campus resources, and collaborating with sponsored student programs within the Organizational Effectiveness, Leadership Development, and Engagement (OELDE) division. The Assistant Director plays a key role in advancing student-focused efforts that promote belonging, retention, and holistic student success.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Director in coordinating office operations, timelines, and logistical processes across campuses
  • Assist with tracking budgets, monitoring expenditures, and maintaining organized financial records for office initiative
  • Collect, organize, and maintain student engagement data to support assessment and planning efforts
  • Support the development and implementation of outreach and engagement strategies informed by participation data
  • Translate data into summaries, reports, and presentations to support internal planning and stakeholder communication
  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and evaluation of student engagement programs and initiatives
  • Collaborate with campus partners to align engagement efforts and share insights related to student involvement
  • Support supervision and coordination of graduate assistants and student staff, as assigned
  • Contribute to the development of systems, processes, and documentation that support the office's growth and evolving priorities
  • Support and the broader mission of the university


Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience
  • Two (2) or more years of related work experience


Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of student learning and development theories

Preferred Educational Qualifications
  • Master's Degree

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in community development


Proposed Salary

$51,000 - $58,141

This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
