Project Manager - Structured Cabling / Low Voltage (OnSite, Barker, NY) Location: 7725 Lake Road, Barker, NY 14012 Workplace Type: 100% OnSite (Monday-Friday; weekends as needed) Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary Range: $85,000-$115,000 + Bonus Start Date: March 23, 2026 Industry: Low Voltage * Structured Cabling * Construction * Mission-Critical Projects Overview A major missioncritical construction project in Barker, NY is seeking an experienced Structured Cabling / Low Voltage Project Manager to lead largescale cabling initiatives within a highdemand environment. This site is part of one of the most important technologyadvancement efforts in the U.S., requiring a leader capable of managing complex technical installations, supervising crews, and maintaining financial, safety, and quality standards. This role is perfect for a handson PM who thrives in fastpaced environments and enjoys being both in the field and in a leadership seat. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Execution * Lead the endtoend delivery of structured cabling and lowvoltage construction projects. * Manage installation progress, field teams, schedules, materials, and equipment. * Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams. * Ensure all work meets safety standards, quality expectations, and customer requirements. Team & Workforce Management * Recruit, train, supervise, mentor, and manage project technicians and leads. * Conduct performance management, coaching, and disciplinary actions when necessary. * Monitor workload distribution to ensure efficiency and deadline adherence. Financial & Contract Oversight * Own project financials, including cost tracking, job postings, billing, and collections. * Prepare financial reporting and updates for leadership and customer representatives. * Support bid preparation, pricing, and proposals. * Identify risks and build plans to mitigate them. Customer & Stakeholder Communication * Serve as the primary point of contact for customer representatives. * Maintain strong communication with internal teams, leadership, and field staff. * Develop process improvements that enhance service delivery and project execution. Required Qualifications To ensure only qualified candidates apply, the following are mandatory: Experience * 5+ years in structured cabling, low voltage, telecommunications, or related construction fields * 5+ years supervising or managing technical teams * Experience delivering projects in: * Manufacturing * Semiconductor * Heavyindustrial * Commercial environments * Verifiable experience with security systems, access control, and CCTV Technical Skills * Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documentation * Proficiency with: * MS Excel * MS Project * MS Teams * MS Outlook * Project management software * Ability to use common trade tools: punch tools, crimp tools, OOM meters, continuity testers, etc. * Ability to learn internal and customer project management systems Soft Skills * Strong communication and analytical skills * Critical thinking and problemsolving abilities * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously * High level of professionalism and leadership * Willingness to work long hours in a highpressure environment * Selfmotivated and capable of driving results Education & Requirements * High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred * Must meet driving standards * Must be able to obtain a companysponsored credit card * BGC and drug test required * Ability to travel within the local region as needed Preferred Experience Handson familiarity with systems such as: Bosch G Series, ReadyKey Pro, GE/UTC Access, CCTV platforms, Software House, EST Fire Systems, and similar low-voltage system manufacturers.
