Security Guard - Shopping Center Patrol

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Driving Post in Canoga Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming customer experience through clear communication, quick reporting, and professional service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under Allied Universal driver policy requirements, backed by a caring, agile team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail mall location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or service requests in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout interior common areas, corridors, loading and service areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and common areas, observe for suspicious or unusual activity, and assist with crowd flow, line management, and/or event support as requested by property management.
• Complete security-related reports and daily activity logs, document incidents and/or maintenance concerns, and communicate key information during shift briefings and/or handoffs.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
