Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Driver Rounds in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech location as an armed patrol officer in a driving role. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at a technology location by carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and communicating updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, checking doors, gates, and restricted spaces for irregularities.
  • Control entry and exit for employees, visitors, and vendors by verifying credentials and/or authorizations, screening deliveries, and directing guests according to site procedures.
  • Monitor surveillance systems and security-related equipment, complete detailed activity reports, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or unusual conditions per post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
