Vaco is actively seeking a Technical Training Specialistwith previous software development and / or cloud experience for a direct-hire role supporting a nationally respected, technically focused, and rapidly growing organization in Memphis.

Position Summary

This role blends technical concepts with adult learning and instructional design capabilities to create high-impact corporate technical training. The Trainer will research, design, build, and deliver practical learning experiences including application development, tool utilization, cloud platforms, DevOps practices, Agile methodologies, and emerging AI technologies.

This role is designed for a hands-on technologist who is ready to establish a career in corporate training and effective end-user system utilization. The Trainer will deliver learning experiences covering cloud platforms, modern application development practices, DevOps fundamentals, Agile methodologies, proprietary software systems, and emerging AI tool utilization.

The ideal candidate will offer technical credibility, a passion for learning, and instructional curiosity along with the interpersonal attributes and confidence to facilitate educational experiences to audiences ranging from novice end-users to seasoned engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain primarily developer-focused training content including hands-on labs, tutorials, videos, presentations, and assessments.
  • Deliver both live and recorded training sessions to both technical and operational audiences, virtually and in person.
  • Translate complex IT concepts into clear, engaging, and outcome-driven learning experiences.
  • Apply adult learning and instructional design principles to ensure training is interactive, practical, and effective.
  • Own course content lifecycle within LMS to include creation, publishing, updates, reporting, and engagement analysis.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and architects to develop curriculum and validate outcomes.
  • Build and maintain a reusable library of relevant content, templates, labs, and delivery standards.
  • Incorporate assessments and feedback mechanisms to measure learner understanding and course effectiveness.
  • Remain abreast and continuously update content to reflect changes in technical landscapes, industry advancements, cloud ecosystems, development frameworks, process automation, DevOps tooling, and AI advancements.


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in applicable field is desired, relevant experience is acceptable.
  • Previous skills and experience in software development, cloud ecosystems, tool utilization, or similar.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and confidently present them in structured training environments.
  • Prior exposure to adult education or corporate technical training environments is a plus.
  • Prior experience using a Learning Management System (LMS), preferably 360Learning, is a plus.
  • Ability to manage training content from design through delivery and performance reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, written, verbal, and visual communication skills are required.

  • Target Compensation: $80k - $90k
  • Travel: Up to 20%
