Security Officer - Unarmed Site Patrol

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Site Patrol in Fredericksburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a healthcare location as an unarmed Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication while using basic computer and/or tablet tools for reporting. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations, documenting observations and reporting maintenance hazards and/or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with clinical teams and/or local emergency services as directed.
• Monitor access points and public areas, help to deter unauthorized entry, and assist with visitor guidance and/or wayfinding in accordance with location procedures.
• Complete incident reports, shift logs, and other required documentation, and communicate pertinent information to supervisors and/or incoming officers.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
