The Role

Entegris is currently seeking a Chemistry Technician III, to join our Production Analytical Chemistry team. This position will be based in our Burnet, Tx facility.

In this role, you will help design, deliver, and optimize some of the most critical semiconductor devices in the world. Be a part of a team and organization that is pushing the boundaries of chemical manufacturing through your expertise as Chemistry Technician III!

We are seeking a Chemistry Technician III with general hands-on experience working with analytical equipment and maintenance in an ISO-9001 environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, results oriented, excellent team player, able to adapt to changing needs of the organization, general knowledge of 5S and best organizational and cleaning practices. Additionally, the individual will have strong interpersonal skills to work within a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and will be able to work independently with minimal guidance once trained.This opportunity allows the right person to expand upon their technical skill set and participate in a dynamic team in a growing organization.

What You'll Do

  • Provide timely support to routine analytical testing of Entegris products. Analytical techniques employed at the Burnet Production Labs include GC, GC/MS, HPLC, KF, LOD, NMR and other wet chemistry analyticaltechniques for analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods. (Second Shift: generally, 1pm - 930 pm Tuesday through Saturday, limited weekend and/or holiday coverage may be required based on business needs) TBD

  • Support of testing will include maintaining laboratory parts inventories, cleaning of lab areas to maintain cleanroom level particle counts, management of lab hazardous wastes, sample preparation, and analysis of material properties (density, conductivity, pH, titrations, or similar).

  • Maintaining, calibrating, cleaning and testing sterility of the equipment

  • Carrying outlabsafety risk assessments and inspections

  • Ordering and maintaining stock and resources

  • Ability to understand analytical techniques facilitating the support of analysis.

  • Verify the efficacy of samples and ensure that all samples and chemicals are properly stored or disposed of

  • Support internal projects focused on continuous improvement of new or existing practices

  • Follow and improve safety guidelines and maintain a clean and orderly environment (5S Guidelines)

What We Seek

  • Minimum ofan associate degree in science ideally in chemistry or related physical/biological sciences.

  • Hands-on experience working in support of analytical labs is preferred.

  • Experience working in operations that maintain ISO-9001 or other industry quality systems (GMP/GLP, ISO-17025 etc.).

  • Preferred 3-5 years of experience in industrial lab settings

  • "Safety First" attitude which is practiced with integrity and a high degree of accountability. Knowledge and demonstration of proper safe handling, disposal of chemicals and ability to maintain a clean and safe workspace.

  • Advanced computer knowledge, including MS Office

  • Proven record of completing lab work safely, correctly, efficiently, timely, and independently

  • Availability to expand upon personal job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, special project teams, and reading technical publications

  • Ability to multi-task and balance independent and teamwork time effectively

  • Strong dexterity, good eye-hand coordination, and ability to safely perform routine repetitive motions
