As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location, you will make routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control points. You will respond to requests, document activity, and communicate clearly with shoppers, associates, and management to support a positive experience. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail or mall location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior retail areas, common spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and key activity areas, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns according to post orders.
• Complete required documentation such as daily activity reports and incident reports, and communicate updates to supervisors and/or client representatives as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
