Summary

Provide support to the Business Services Department and other internal partners for the development and growth of new and existing business relationships. Collaborates with Business Relationship Managers to coordinate closing and loan documentation needed. Evaluate loan requests to ensure proper documentation is in place to confirm business structure, evaluate existing collateral documentation to validate language and proper documentation has been obtained, provide disclosures timely, prepare business loan documents accurately and timely to ensure excellent member experience. Offering improvement for all processes, procedures, and documentation while contributing to a positive member experience.

Expected Outcomes



  • Members receive best-in-class loan experience, evident in excellent communication, clear expectations and quality work.
  • Higher level and more complex loans, such as SBA, Participations, and Construction loans are prepared as approved.
  • Focus and prepare loan documents for the top 25% tier loan portfolio.
  • Co-workers loan packages are peer-reviewed prior to closing.
  • Quality due diligence activities are conducted prior to approval to ensure clear understanding of ownership structure; proper certification is completed with the state, analysis of the collateral is completed
  • Communicate and submit requests with third parties regarding title work, appraisals and flood determinations.
  • Coordinators collaborate with Business Relationship Managers to schedule Closings in a timely manner.
  • Work is compliant with all regulatory disclosure requirements.
  • Pipeline is monitored to ensure loans are moving forward and closed in a timely manner.
  • Member requests are completed effectively by taking ownership and following through to a resolution.



Capability Requirements



  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Four or more years of experience with commercial loan documentation or commercial loan systems; or combination of applicable work experience and education
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a variety of people, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to switch between tasks and remain organized.
  • Enjoys working with customers and demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills,
  • Close attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality with all information obtained.
  • In-depth mathematical skills required (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, dividend, interest, payoff and equity calculations etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft products.

  • Physical Demands of Position: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit, stand and walk, use hands and fingers. The employee occasionally must reach above and below shoulder level, and lift/push/pull and /or carry up to 10 pounds.
  • Environmental/Working Conditions: Works in a typical administrative setting with climate control and appropriate lighting. Travel to branches requires exposure to outdoor and traffic conditions.
  • Equipment Used: Variety of office equipment (telephone, printer, pc, mobile devices, etc).
