Mechanical Shop Foreman

Competitive Pay: This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $35/hr. to $42hr., depending on experience and qualifications.

What You'll Do:

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of shop mechanics
• Assist with teardown, inspection, repair, machining coordination and reassembly of rotating equipment
• Ensure proper alignment, balancing and tolerances are met
• Ensure accurate documentation of findings, measurements and parts usage
• Ensure work meets OEM specifications and industry standards
• Assign jobs based on skill level, workload, and deadlines
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and troubleshooting support
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with company and industry safety regulations.

What You'll Need:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience repairing rotating equipment
• 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role preferred
• Strong knowledge of mechanical tolerances, bearings, seals, shafts, and alignment
• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Word, Excel and other digital reporting systems
• Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, dial indicators, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Prolonged standing and working in a shop environment
• Exposure to noise, grease, and industrial conditions
