Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:

The F&B Coordinator / Host is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Food & Beverage Department while delivering exceptional front-of-house hosting services. This role ensures efficient coordination of daily operations, accurate communication across teams, and an elevated guest arrival experience consistent with luxury hotel standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, strong organizational skills, and a passion for hospitality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:




  • Provide administrative support to the Food & Beverage leadership team including typing, filing, data entry, and telephone management in a timely and professional manner



  • Prepare, review, and proofread menus, reports, and departmental correspondence for accuracy and presentation standards



  • Utilize POS, reservation, and hospitality systems



  • Assist with outlet updates, function changes, reservation management, and coordination of special guest requests



  • Execute host responsibilities including welcoming guests, managing reservations and waitlists, coordinating seating flow, and maintaining a polished arrival experience



  • Maintain organized departmental files and reproduce documents using office equipment



  • Monitor inventory of office and host stand supplies; prepare requisitions and supply orders as needed



  • Maintain proper working condition of departmental office equipment



  • Interact professionally with guests, colleagues, and leadership to support operations and resolve guest concerns



  • Uphold brand standards through courteous, attentive, and service-focused communication



  • Apply sound judgment and problem-solving skills to address operational needs and guest service situations



  • Interpret and execute instructions provided in written, verbal, or schedule-based formats



  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of work areas in accordance with hotel standards




QUALIFICATIONS:




  • High School Diploma required



  • Minimum of 1-2 years of hospitality, restaurant, administrative, or front office experience preferred



  • Food Handler Certification and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification required, or willingness to obtain upon hire



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with POS systems preferred



  • Ability to type approximately 45-55 words per minute preferred



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Business English; additional languages a plus



  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strong guest and colleague relations in a luxury hospitality environment



  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines



  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented when handling guest concerns or high-pressure situations



  • Detail-oriented with strong memory and follow-through




PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:




  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, lift, reach, pull, push, twist, turn, and grasp throughout the workday



  • Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant and office environment while maintaining service excellence
