POSITION SUMMARY

Groundskeepers are responsible for the daily maintenance of Stratton's 27 hole Golf Course and for providing the best possible playing conditions for our guests. This is a seasonal position, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available, starting wage for this role is $20.00/hour. Employee housing available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Routine cleanup of sticks, leaves and debris
  • Assisting with shop cleanliness, including lunch area, locker room, bathroom, and equipment bays
  • Keeping equipment clean including steam cleaning and hand washing
  • Moving bags of fertilizer up to 50lbs
  • Daily pre-operation check of assigned equipment, safe use, and proper storage of equipment
  • Hand watering turf using pressures up to 120psi
  • Daily placement and removal of greens tarps, raking and shoveling
  • Sanitation of collection area at wash station
  • Reporting equipment issues to the mechanic
  • Operating walk behind, and riding mowers
  • Larger equipment operation
  • Additional duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent, required
  • Previous grounds maintenance experience, preferred
  • Ability to operate machinery used for grounds maintenance
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions (rain, extreme heat, cold, insects, etc.)
  • Ability to lift 50lbs on a consistent basis
  • Basic understanding of golf


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position may be required to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
