Job Description

PURPOSE: To safely load and unload materials and products from trailers using a Power Industrial Truck/Forklift.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Including, but not limited to, the following. Others may be assigned.

  • Receive and distribute product accurately.
  • Load and unload materials to/from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
  • Safely operate and inspect power industrial trucks.
  • Perform warehouse cleaning and consolidating
  • Move pack-out.
  • Load/ unload trucks.
  • Perform cycle counts.
  • Accepts responsibility to comply with all safety, quality, customer, ISO, SQF and any other regulatory requirements. And has the authority to report concerns that could impact these requirements or suggest areas for improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have excellent attendance.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Must have forklift experience/certification.
  • Must be available to work overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to work independently with some supervision.
  • Must have full understanding of Work-In-Process.
  • Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting/moving objects (up to 35 pounds periodically).
  • Able to work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms.
  • Must be able to perform all job duties in a safe and effective manner.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Regularly required to walk, lift and carry materials < 35 pounds (not repetitive), work in dusty conditions.

Work is close proximity to power granulating equipment with high decibel noise emission for extended periods.
