__ Operate rubber injection molding machines to fabricate rubber components. Responsible for the production of molded products. You will be mainly accountable for: Safety
- Understands and follows plant safety and procedures.
- Avoids or prevents hazardous conditions from developing.
- Wear appropriate protective equipment as required, dress and conducts self in a safe manner.
- Keeps work area clean and orderly and maintains Lean 5S.
- Participates in plant safety objectives.
Job Functions
- Demonstrate ABB's core values and group safety and integrity standards and act accordingly.
- Implement and ensure compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned areas.
- Understand and follow plant safety and procedures.
- Responsible for all aspects of molding operations, i.e., work instructions, standard operating procedures, and revision control
- Ensure quality operation of the process, perform quality checks and controls, including adherence to cleaning and maintenance.
- Maintain pre-determined efficiency, standards, and productivity rates.
- Prepare and maintain accurate production records and follow standard operating procedures.
- Keep track of approved, defective units and final product
- Ensure shift change is completed forms are completed with accurate and appropriate information.
- Additional duties may be assigned to meet business needs
Education and Experience
- High School diploma/GED is required
- Prior manufacturing experience or quality control experience Preferred
- Ability to lift to 40lbs and perform push/pull functions
- Can work overtime to meet Business Objectives
- Can work a weekend schedule as needed.
Skills and/or Training
- Ability to communicate, read, write, and understand various written instructions in English
- Bend, twist & turn in a safe manner
- Lift up to 40 Pounds
- Stand for long periods
- Good hand dexterity
- Strong math skills
