The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Coordinator, HR Shared Services to join our Firm. Within this position, the Senior Coordinator will support Human Resources Shared Services operations focusing on process analysis, service optimization and employee support across all Firm departments and practice areas.

This position will be based in our New York office on a hybrid schedule. Please note that the Firm will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.

  • Supports the HR Shared Services management team with various department related projects and assignments.
  • Serves as a first point of contact for employee HR policies, procedures, and programs via phone, email, or ticketing systems.
  • Addresses inquiries and requests in a timely manner, acknowledging receipt within three hours and resolving questions and needs promptly.
  • Supports the day-to-day administration of HR processes, including but not limited to onboarding, offboarding, and leave management.
  • Conducts U.S. orientation sessions for new employees.
  • Ensures new hires and transfers complete all onboarding activities and follows up as needed.
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline and improve HR processes.
  • Maintains electronic files and records for employees.
  • Completes necessary items for departing employees, ensures all system-related items are completed.
  • Supports the retired partner process.
  • Contributes to the formulation and maintenance of HR Shared Services guidebooks.
  • Coordinates special projects and events, including but not limited to the Attorney American Express Gift Card Appreciation Program, Employee Anniversary Recognition Program, and the annual State of the Firm.
  • Handles unemployment claims for employees.
  • Proactively identifies, recommends, and implements enhancements to HR processes.
  • Anticipates supervisor's needs by proactively identifying issues and conflicts and taking the initiative to offer solutions and preempt needs.
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.
  • Manages Firm resources responsibly.
  • Complies with and understands Firm operation, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates strong client service skills
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrates close attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of seven years of related experience

The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range listed under Salary Details. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.

$105,000 - $115,000
