About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn't a buzzword - it's a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

About the Team

Missionforce is Salesforce's dedicated growth engine and strategic partner to the U.S. government and its allies. We focus on tackling some of the most critical modernization efforts of our time.

Our work is built upon Public Sector Solutions, which is powered by the Salesforce Platform and Service Cloud. This offering provides a data model, business logic, and OmniStudio components specifically designed to streamline government processes. It delivers flexible, scalable, and secure tools tailored for government service delivery, enabling agencies to operate more effectively. Public Sector Solutions equips governments for a future of digital innovation in serving constituents by supporting critical functions like:
Processing license and permit applications
Conducting inspections and assessments
Administering social programs and delivering benefits
Disbursing grants

Our work spans from commercial cloud to physically isolated environments like GovCloud Plus Defense. This requires engineers to deeply understand security, compliance, and highly isolated infrastructure.

You'll be optimizing platform components to handle massive scale. For example, our work includes engineering improvements for features like the Recruiter Agent, leveraging Transform elements instead of traditional loops and implementing batch processes to solve timeout issues, significantly improving response times and increasing record handling capacity.

Your Impact:

  • Drive the execution and delivery of features by collaborating with many cross-functional teams, architects, product owners, and engineers.

  • Make critical decisions that contribute to the success of the product.

  • Be proactive in foreseeing issues and resolving them before they happen.

  • Daily management of stand-ups as the Scrum Master for engineering teams.

  • Partner with Product Owners to align with objectives, priorities, tradeoffs, and risks.

  • Ensuring teams have clear priorities and adequate resources.

  • Empowering the delivery team to self-coordinate.

  • Be a multiplier and have a passion for team and team members' success.

  • Providing technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members.

  • Maintaining high morale and motivating the delivery team to go above and beyond.

  • Vocally advocating for technical excellence and helping the teams make good decisions.

  • Participating in architecture discussions and planning.

  • Participating in cross-functional coordination, planning, and reviews with leads from other engineering teams.

  • Maintaining and encouraging our culture by interviewing and hiring only the most qualified individuals.

  • Occasionally contributing to development tasks such as coding and feature verifications to assist teams with release commitments, to gain an understanding of the deeply technical product as well as to keep your technical skills sharp.

Required Skills:

  • A related technical degree is required.

  • 4+ years of experience managing teams working on technically demanding projects and 10+ years of overall experience leading software development projects.

  • Experience leading large-scale distributed systems, working with microservices and/or distributed architecture.

  • Experience with relational databases (Oracle, Postgres) in both schema and function.

  • A passion for understanding technical landscapes and translating that knowledge into product possibilities in collaboration with Product and Design.

  • A strong problem-solving mindset with a track record of finding creative solutions to complex challenges.

  • Proven ability to seamlessly switch between being hands-on with technical problem-solving and stepping back to empower and coach the team.

  • The ability to navigate multiple and sometimes conflicting constraints to make timely decisions and anticipate future technical needs.

  • Excellent skills in building roadmaps and developing long-term team vision in partnership with Product Management and other engineering teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects to successful completion.

  • A passion for developing engineers, providing constructive feedback, and fostering career growth.
