Tank Tigers, an STS Aviation Group Company, is hiring Aircraft Fuel Cell Technicians Class B in Miami, Florida.

This is a mid-level aviation maintenance role designed for technicians with at least two years of aircraft maintenance experience who are ready to deepen their expertise in aircraft fuel systems and Part 145 repair station operations.

Position Overview

The Aircraft Technician Class B reports to the Facility Supervisor and or Facility Manager. This position is responsible for performing aircraft fuel tank maintenance, including preventive maintenance and alteration tasks, in accordance with approved maintenance data and customer requirements.

This role does not include supervisory, inspection, or maintenance release authority and is not required to hold certification under 14 CFR Part 65 or be listed on the Management, Supervisor, or Inspector roster.


Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out assigned maintenance tasks in accordance with applicable maintenance manuals and approved data
  • Ensure completed or partially completed maintenance tasks are properly signed off
  • Perform maintenance operations in the correct sequence and request inspections in a timely and orderly manner
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with approved maintenance data and customer requirements
  • Verify that test equipment and tools used for airworthiness determinations are properly labeled and current
  • Request stock and materials required to complete assigned work
  • Accurately record work performed on appropriate maintenance records and complete required documentation
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Remain knowledgeable of applicable FAR Part 145 and Part 43 requirements
  • Maintain familiarity with the company Repair Station Manual and Quality Control Manual
  • Record time for assigned tasks accurately
  • Immediately communicate unsafe procedures, practices, or conditions to supervision
  • Work flexible schedules as operational demands require
  • Perform work in confined spaces and small access areas within aircraft fuel tanks

Required Skills

  • Ability to comprehend and perform aircraft fuel system maintenance independently
  • Strong understanding of fuel tank maintenance procedures and safety standards
  • Ability to follow detailed maintenance instructions and approved documentation
  • Strong attention to safety, compliance, and quality

Required Experience

  • 2 to 4 years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • Prior fuel system or fuel tank maintenance experience preferred

Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in confined spaces, including aircraft fuel tanks, and maintain flexibility in scheduling based on operational requirements.
