Anticipated Hiring Range: $35.75 - $43.13 hourly
Full Pay Range: $35.75 - $50.50 hourly

Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek.

We Require

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school of Nursing

  • Valid, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing or issued by another state recognized by the Arizona Board of Nursing as a multi-compact license state

We Also Value

  • Experience working as a Registered Nurse in maternal/child health or community/public health

  • Experience working with various socioeconomic groups

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English

Job Contributions

  • Conducts home visits to eligible pregnant and parenting women and their families and introduces them to the MECSH program

  • Assesses the physical, emotional, social, and environmental needs of women and their families as they relate to the NFP domains, such as prenatal health, child health, education, and self-sufficiency

  • Provides education, support, and referral resources in assisting women and their families in attaining their targeted goals to improve health and self-sufficiency

  • Consults and collaborates with other professionals involved in providing services to women and families

  • Manages assigned caseload

  • Develops and maintains community relationships to support client referrals

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, based on client and training needs

  • Valid unrestricted Arizona driver's license with a dependable, insured personal motor vehicle is required

  • Mileage reimbursement is available for travel in a personal vehicle as required by this position

  • Position requires completing all MECSH-mandated education, which could include travel to in/out-of-state locations

  • CPR certification is required upon hire

  • Must be able to participate in emergency response training as scheduled and be available to respond as directed in the event of a public health emergency

  • Within one month of hire, all employees will be required to provide evidence of immunity or receive immunizations for vaccine-preventable illnesses for any position within the Maricopa County Department of Public Health. Required immunizations include MMR (mumps, measles, and rubella), Tdap (whooping cough and diphtheria), Varicella (chickenpox), and annual influenza. Some positions require a Hepatitis B vaccine and a Tuberculosis test
