Security Officer - Gatehouse Driver

As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Driver in New Albany, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, and issue and/or track badges to support smooth daily operations. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay visible to help deter security-related incidents while providing professional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license per AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, authorizations and visitor logs, and by issuing badges and/or temporary credentials in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor gates, doors, turnstiles and/or camera systems for unusual activity, and report maintenance or access control issues through approved communication channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with incident documentation and notifying appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct routine rounds of assigned access areas and nearby workspaces to help to deter unauthorized entry, and document observations per site policy.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
