As a Security Officer - Level III Armed Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols of sales floors, parking areas, and perimeters while staying highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, and an armed role requiring Level III Armed Certification. You will communicate clearly with staff and guests and respond promptly to situations as part of a reliable, people-first team.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, team members, and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and local public resources as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor, entrances and exits, parking areas, loading and receiving areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and customer flow, assist with security-related screenings and/or bag checks when directed by site policy, and help to maintain order during high-traffic periods and special events.
• Document security-related observations, incidents, and patrol activity in written reports and logs, preserving details and any available evidence according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess Level III Armed License
• Access Control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
