Communications Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with supported business marketers to understand business priorities and communications needs, developing a comprehensive communications strategy to ensure connectivity between these teams and Internal Communications.
  • Collaborates with supported business teammates to support change initiatives, draft communications, and equip leaders to cascade messages to their teams.
  • Creates and implements communication plans, developing, publishing, and distributing content across various system channels.
  • Ensures that messaging is consistent, relevant, and aligned to organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, serving as subject matter expert, trusted advisor, and brand champion.
  • Stays up-to-date on goals, priorities, and milestones for assigned support areas and understands the impact, scale, and timelines for initiatives.
  • Collaborates with leaders and team members to review the status and content of Internal Communications projects and strengthen stakeholder relationships.
  • Partners closely with marketing, creative services, government and media relations teammates on shared initiatives, including internal/external campaigns, media activities, and website updates.
  • Creates, posts, and maintains intranet content for assigned communications efforts; Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of communications strategies and adjusts as needed; Manages relationships with external vendors and agencies as needed; Stays up-to-date on healthcare industry trends and communications best practice.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, business or related field.
  • Experience: 8 years of progressive experience in strategic communications planning and execution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong Editing & Writing skills

  • Experience with drafting content and web platforms

  • Ability to build relationships in large organization

  • Attention to detail
