What you will enjoy doing.. Secure orders, locates new customers, plans sales calls, and makes presentations demonstrating the advantages of dealing with Sunstate Equipment. Build strong business relationships through respect for the customer and a sincere desire to service his needs. Establish and maintain personal relations with customers Solve customer's problems and provide assistance to product application Provide trench safety and confined space specific solutions, including engineered systems for site specific applications Provide on-site system install assistance when needed Engage in the early stages of project bids Instruct competent person training classes for excavation safety and confined space entry as needed Keep customers up to date on new products in Sunstate fleet. Keep familiar with new products available to Sunstate and inform management of customer's product needs. Responsible to regularly and accurately report and document (using the Company systems e.g. CRM) all prospecting and sales activities. Maintain Dodge Report file and follow up on all leads. (Dodge Reports, new customers, customer inquiries and sub-contractors and keep informed on job awards) Settles complaints and resolve disputes. Maintain a system for keeping literature, brochures, and price sheets neat and current. Control telephone and entertainment expenses. Maintain a high degree of sales professionalism through independent study and reading. Attend meetings and activities of assigned associations. Ensure that equipment always meets the standards of Sunstate and notifies management if it does not. Strives to be a team player, helping Sunstate to excel in all areas. Brings to management's attention areas needing improvement. May assist dispatch by doing deliveries and equipment pick ups Knowledge and experience you have.. Must possess sales and customer relation skills. Previous sales experience is preferred Knowledge of construction rental equipment is a plus Knowledge of trench safety equipment and applications preferred Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart P as it pertains to excavation safety is preferred Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 as it pertains to confined space entry is preferred Basic computer skills including average typing skills Must possess multi-tasking abilities Must have the ability to work unsupervised Must possess time management skills Must maintain a professional personal appearance. Possess basic mathematics skills Must be able to communicate in English. Ability to speak another language is a plus. Must possess good verbal and written communication skills Keep regular, dependable and timely attendance Maintain a cooperative working relationship with co-workers. A high school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred but not required. Must be able to grasp and apply new information quickly Must pass company drug screen. Must have a valid driver's license Must possess and maintain a good driving record Be able to frequently lift 25 lbs, occasionally lift 50 lbs, and seldom lift 90 lbs Must be able to meet performance, productivity and efficiency standards Our leadership and workplace culture demonstrates value of each employee and rewards both individual and team contribution.
