SUMMARY: The Loan Servicing Specialist provides support activities for the bank's residential and commercial loan portfolios.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: North Shore Bank's Position Descriptions are intended to describe only the major responsibilities of the job. You may be expected to perform other duties specified by your manager. Everyone is expected to contribute whatever effort is necessary to operate efficiently and effectively to ensure the success of North Shore Bank.



Performs lockbox and payment processing activities such as reviewing the daily payment reject reports, applying the rejected payments to the correct loans with effective dates, checking general ledgers for commercial payments or non-posted transactions.



Reviews reports for residential and commercial loan portfolios. Reports findings to department supervisors.



Handles mail functions for loan operations, including distribution, preparing certified mail, and generating overnight labels.



Posts daily/ weekly/ monthly reports to intranet. Distributes other reports as directed.



Provides support for transaction processing and daily check scanning and balancing for the departments.



Balances various general ledgers and submits reconciliations as required.



Assists in the preparation and secure sending of payoff letters and payoff transaction processing.



Organizes, imports/exports, and securely sends electronic documentation for customer, management, and audit requests.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


High school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of banking experience are required. Position requires effective prior use of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook and Excel. Experience in customer service or loan servicing is preferred. Experience with Fiserv products and Baker Hill software is a plus. Ability to manage and prioritize workload and complete tasks accurately in a deadline-driven environment is required for this role.
