Basic Function
HF Sinclair is seeking a Project Manager-Capital Projects in Sinclair,WY or Salt Lake City,UT or Artesia,NM or Tulsa,OK or Dallas, TX who will be managing all phases of capital projects that support strategic growth and enhanced profitability from initial concept inception through final completion. The work is primarily refinery focused but, will also include pipeline and terminal facilities and/or their interfaces. Manages the full project lifecycle, including frontend loading (FEL), detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover to operations. Also supports the ongoing development of the project management organization and contributes to recurring or special assignments as needed. Job Duties
Experience
A minimum of fifteen years in petrochemical or refining industry and ten years in a project management related role is required. Experience and demonstrated competency in managing projects >$50 million. Education Level
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or in lieu of degree 20 years of project and construction management experience. Required Skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft products and commonly used engineering and project management software tools and concepts. Familiarity with standards and engineering practices. Design oversight and the ability to marshal, motivate and manage resources. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication. Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility
Oversees and manages external firms performing engineering and design work, ensuring alignment with project objectives, standards, and deliverables. Supervises contract project resources and works closely with construction management/construction contractor to monitor the status and progress of field work and to support quality assurance on a projectbyproject basis. Provides leadership, coaching, and development for lesssenior project management staff and other intracompany personnel. Work Conditions
Office based with some field-based work in a refinery / industrial facility. Project will require 25%-50% travel, to be onsite at an engineer's office during detail design and in a refinery for two weeks per month during significant construction activities. Benefits
