Reports to: Director, Field Operations

The Role:

The Digital Dealer Major Group & Publics Advisor is a senior-level advisor responsible for supporting large dealer groups, publicly traded dealer organizations, and centralized automotive retail enterprises across all OEM brands represented within the SmartDigital program. This role acts as the primary strategic partner to executivelevel leadership, digital marketing directors, centralized CRM/BDC teams, and enterprise retail operations leaders.

You will oversee all SmartDigital programs, products, and OEM initiatives, ensuring consistent adoption, performance, and alignment across complex multirooftop organizations. By providing comprehensive digital assessments, program recommendations, and enterprisescale strategic guidance, you will help dealer groups maximize digital performance, operational efficiency, and marketing ROI across all brands and channels.

This is a fulltime remote position with a flexible schedule and 80% travel requirements.

The Impact You Will Have in This Role:

You will shape and strengthen the digital performance strategy of some of the largest automotive retailers in the industry, ensuring that SmartDigital programs deliver value, consistency, and measurable business results across every rooftop.

What You'll Be Doing in This Role:

  • Serve as the primary SmartDigital advisor for large dealer groups and public automotive retailers, supporting all OEM programs within the portfolio.

  • Partner directly with enterprise digital leadership, marketing executives, CRM/BDC directors, and corporate operations teams to implement scalable digital strategies.

  • Conduct enterpriselevel performance reviews across websites, SEO, SEM, social media, reputation management, CRM, lead management, and retailing tools.

  • Provide guidance across all OEM digital programs under SmartDigital, ensuring alignment, compliance, and optimization across the dealer group.

  • Deliver indepth reporting and analytics for grouplevel and rooftoplevel performance, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and improved digital ROI.

  • Establish governance frameworks and best practices to ensure consistent digital execution across multiple rooftops and brands.

  • Lead strategic discussions on vendor selection, technology ecosystems, organizational process optimization, and digital workflow improvements.

  • Provide training, education, and strategic support to leadership teams on emerging digital trends and SMartDigital program enhancements.

  • Collaborate with internal SmartDigital teams to guide enterprise adoption, address escalations, and influence product direction based on dealer group needs.

  • Act as a problemsolver and strategic consultant for complex digitalmarketing challenges affecting largescale organizations.

Qualifications of this Role:

  • 5+ years of experience in automotive digital marketing, retail operations, consulting, or enterpriselevel dealergroup engagement.

  • Strong understanding of multirooftop organizational structures, including centralized marketing, BDC/CRM operations, and enterprise technology ecosystems.

  • Experience consulting with large dealer groups, public automotive organizations, or OEM partners on digital strategy.

  • Deep knowledge of websites, digital advertising, SEO/SEM, CRM, analytics, and digital retailing platforms.

  • Ability to lead strategic conversations with executives and influence organizational adoption of digital standards and best practices.

  • Demonstrated analytical strength with the ability to interpret complex performance data and present insights to leadership.

  • Excellent communication skills, with experience delivering presentations to senior leadership teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple enterprise accounts simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of service.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to create scalable processes across large groups.

  • Teamoriented mindset with the ability to collaborate internally to support program success and continuous improvement.

This position has a starting salary range of $120,000 - $135,000 USD per year. This is the range we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for the role at the time of posting. An employee's pay within the range is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, education, qualifications, experience, performance, business or organizational needs, and geographic location.
