About the Role

Gain hands on accounting experience as an Intern at Matson working with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Treasury and Investor Relations departments. The Intern rate of pay is $25/hour. This position requires the successful candidate to be in-office at our Walnut Creek Corporate office at least 3 days per week.

What you'll do:

  • Assist with financial analyses in FP&A, Treasury, and Investor Relations.
  • Assist in the monthly financial projections update process.
  • Assist in the preparation of Investor Relations materials.
  • Assist in the organization of corporate development activities.
  • Interface with various departments internally to learn the business and obtain information to help drive and support analyses.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects, presentation development, and analysis, as needed.

You have these skills:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

And these qualifications:

  • Rising undergraduate in active pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Prior completion of basic accounting courses required.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.

The rate is posted for this position in California.
