Job Summary:

M1 is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic I - Fuels Corrosion Inspection who will conduct daily
corrosion dock operations under Coatings Section.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
* Assists with troubleshooting.
* Maintains, services, and inspects aircraft fuel systems, components, and related support
equipment.
* Removes, installs, and conducts functional tests of repaired aircraft systems and components.
* May assist in adjusting, aligning, and rigging aircraft systems.
* Reads and interprets manufacturers and aircraft's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical
data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or
replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
* Performs periodic and other hourly or calendar inspections as required.
* Removes and installs aircraft panels, nut plates, and other associated hardware or components to
accomplish corrosion inspections and Time Compliance Technical Directives.
* Performs fuel cell safety checks for entrance.
* Repairs, modifies, fabricates, and applies corrosion protective, low observable coatings, and
markings to aircraft structures, equipment, advanced composites, and bonded structural parts.
* Assembles structural parts and components using special fasteners and adhesives to meet
requirements for preserving structural integrity and low observable qualities.
* Identifies, removes, and treats corrosion using mechanical and chemical procedures.
* Receives technical guidance from Managers, Supervisors, Leads or higher-level technicians as
required.
* May be required to assist with writing/initiating engineering technical assistance requests.
* May be required to obtain and maintain special certifications required by AFI as directed by
management.
* Reviews and completes forms documentation pertinent to aircraft or equipment maintenance,
enters maintenance actions into applicable Maintenance Information System (MIS) and will make
entries in forms, logs, records, or electronic equivalent as required.
* Complete all assignments and tasks as directed by Managers, Supervisors, Leads, and more
senior technicians.

Qualifications and Experience:
* High school diploma or GED is required. Mathematics skills are desirable
* Minimum of 4 years performing as a USAF fighter aircraft Fuel System technician. Working knowledge of
MIS, forms documentation, and strict adherence to aircraft technical data is required. All fuels personnel
must be able to pass a color vision test. Must be able to obtain and maintain respirator qualification.
* Must speak, read, write, and understand English with the ability to interpret technical data and
special operating instructions in the same language.
* Must be willing to deploy to support off-station requirements.
* Performs housekeeping duties within 100 feet of assigned work areas (excluding bathrooms).
* Performs vehicle use inspections, cleaning, and wash.
* Performs any other supportive duties as assigned.
* Must be physically capable of performing all assigned duties.
* Must be able to, if obtain, and maintain a Secret security clearance (or higher, if required).
* Must be able to, if required, obtain, and maintain a government driver's license. If controlled
movement area (CMA) access is required must be able to pass color vision test
* May be required to work in other work sections throughout the contract.
Working Conditions:
* Must be physically capable of performing all assigned duties.
* Environment ranges from office, hangar and flightline and requires extensive climbing, standing, stooping,
bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.
