POSITION OVERVIEW The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Iowa seeks applications for a 12-month full-time audiology clinical-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Clinical Professor. Appropriate candidates are those with expertise in any of the following: clinical teaching, routine diagnostic testing, hearing aid selection, fitting and follow-up care, aural (re)habilitation services, hearing loss prevention services, as well as an interest in program development and professional productivity. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide clinical instruction to audiology graduate student clinicians in a clinical setting which provides routine diagnostic services, aural (re)habilitation including hearing aid selection, fitting and follow up care, and hearing loss prevention services for individuals across the lifespan. Most of the clinical instruction occurs with first- and second-year graduate students.
- Classroom instruction in the areas of clinical, professional, and business practices as directed by departmental needs
- Collaborate with other clinical and academic faculty members to coordinate student learning, clinical care, outreach programs, and clinic operations.
- Provide direct patient care.
- Commit to staying current on audiology research and technology.
- Participate in professional development and service activities.
- Facilitate sustainable partnerships with other service providers within the university, as well as with health care service providers and school-based professionals in the university, community and state.

| Education Requirement: |
- Clinical doctorate (AuD) or master's degree in audiology from an accredited program.
|
| Required Qualifications: |
- At least 9 months of post-graduate experience in clinical audiology.
- Experience with diagnostic and hearing aid selection, fitting, and follow-up care.
- Qualified to obtain an audiology license in the state of Iowa.
- Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, or qualified to obtain one.

| Desirable Qualifications: |
- Experience with clinical teaching.
- Experience with cochlear implants
- Experience with electrophysiological measures.
- Evidence of leadership in and/or service to the profession or experience with research and/or program development.
- Familiarity with CMS regulations.
