Overview Shift: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides compassionate, hands-on care to a diverse community-based caseload under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. In this role, the COTA applies clinical expertise and evidence-based best practices to implement individualized treatment plans, promote functional independence, and enhance quality of life while maintaining high standards for patient safety, satisfaction, and measurable outcomes. Uses equipment and supplies safely, effectively, and efficiently. * Consistently utilizes a patient-centered approach considering physical, psych/social, spiritual, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned service area. * Treats patients/clients to relieve pain, develop or restore function and maintain maximum performance using specified occupational therapy procedures. * Directs and aids patients/clients in plan of treatment. * Delivers quality care consistent with Home Health Conditions of Participation, qualifying home care criteria, payor coverage criteria, and providing visits/treatments consistent with the plan of care.
