Overview Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to support the AI Security organization, a team responsible for integrating new security assessment tools, automating workflows, and modernizing the engineering ecosystem across the enterprise. This is a handson engineering role focused on Java-based microservices, automation, cloud integration, and lightweight React UI development. The ideal candidate brings strong technical leadership, a proactive delivery mindset, and the ability to work across multitier architectures. Key Responsibilities * Design and build endtoend solutions using Java and modern microservices patterns * Develop and enhance React-based dashboards, reporting UIs, and workflow interfaces * Build automation for APIs, data pipelines, and security workflows * Apply TDD and engineering hygiene practices from day one * Work across multitier enterprise architectures with a focus on reliability and scalability * Collaborate with crossfunctional engineering, security, and cloud teams * Assist with cloud-based deployments in GCP or Azure (AWS acceptable) * Improve development standards, tooling, and continuous improvement processes Required Skills & Experience Core Engineering * 7+ years of Java development * Deep experience with Spring Boot, microservices, and API development * Ability to design and deliver endtoend enterprise solutions * Experience working across multitier distributed architectures Frontend * React experience (building dashboards, workflow interfaces, reporting UIs) Automation & Workflows * Experience building: * APIs * Data pipelines * Automated workflows * Strong understanding of TDD, testing standards, and engineering best practices Cloud * Experience with GCP or Azure preferred * AWS acceptable * Experience deploying cloudnative workloads or services Soft Skills * Strong ownership mentality * Ability to work independently with minimal handholding * Excellent communication and collaboration abilities * "Get it done" mindset Why This Role Is Appealing * Work directly within a highpriority AI Security team * Opportunity to build automation and modernize critical enterprise workflows * Exposure to new cloud technologies and AI/security platforms * Long-term roadmap with strong potential for skill growth and visibility Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $69.50 - $74.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
