Low Voltage Cable Technician Job Description We are seeking an EntryLevel Low Voltage Cable Technician to support commercial structured cabling projects. Candidates should have handson experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing structured cabling systems in a variety of environments. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to build a longterm career in low voltage and telecommunications. Responsibilities * Install, troubleshoot, and maintain structured cabling systems * Pull and route low voltage cabling (CAT6, fiber optic, surveillance) * Perform punchdown terminations and basic cable testing * Assist with installation in large commercial buildings (up to 2,000,000 sq. ft.) * Drill through concrete walls and perform limited conduit work as needed * Follow safety standards and jobsite procedures Required Experience * Experience as a Low Voltage Cable Technician or Data Cable Technician * Strong background in structured cabling installations and troubleshooting * Handson experience with CAT6 cabling, fiber optic, and surveillance systems Top Skills * Low Voltage Cabling * Structured Cabling * Cable Pulling * CAT6 * PunchDown Termination Additional Skills & Qualifications * Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of cabling infrastructure * Ability to work in commercial and construction environments * Industry certifications are a huge plus (BICSI, NEC, TIA/EIA) Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Salinas, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
