Registered Nurse (RN) Transition to PACU

Inova Alexandria hospital PACU is seeking an experienced RN for a full-time PACU fellowship position. This Fellowship will start in May and is designed to transition experienced nurses to the PACU specialty.

Inova's Perianesthesia RNs work pre and post op; Phase 1 and 2. This is Full Time (3x12 or 4x10 hour shifts) to cover hours including 6.00a-11.30p with on call night, weekend, and holiday requirements

The OR is equipped with 11 surgical suites. Comprehensive range of surgical specialties to include, orthopedics-total joints, sports medicine, spine, General Surgery, ENT, gynecology, urology, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery, podiatry, and maxillofacial.

RN Fellow PACU Qualifications:

• One year of acute care nursing experience is required;
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate's Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required at hire
