Title: Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

Focus: The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for leading the strategic planning and business analysis efforts for CAPV, the biggest segment in Olin Corporation, a leading chemical company. This role is critical in driving the company's growth and operational efficiency by providing insightful analysis, strategic recommendations, and effective planning processes.
Director of Financial Planning and Analysis Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversee the effectiveness and efficiency of the segment's financial planning processes to support the company's strategic objectives.
- Lead the annual financial budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and financial targets.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis and competitive benchmarking to inform strategic decision making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, marketing, and operations, to develop and execute business plans.
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and market trends.
- Mentor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against business objectives.
- Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, including capital projects, productivity initiatives, and commercial opportunities.
- Lead and mentor a team of business analysts and planners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Director of Financial Planning and Analysis Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree* in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; Master's Degree* preferred; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business planning, strategic analysis, financial planning and analysis, or a related field. Experience in the chemical industry preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of direct leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in business planning software and tools. Experience with PowerBI preferred.
- Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred.
