Your role and responsibilities:
This role will create/provide documentation and floor support associated with safety, manufacturing/quality methods, tooling and equipment in Lighting Panel, Power Panel and Switchboard products. Implement new processes and methods to improve safety, reduce product cost and improve product quality. Also, participate in new product introductions into manufacturing from R&D/Engineering or Transfers between manufacturing sites. Implement 5S program, cost reduction ideas, hands on new assembly line layout coordination

This role is contributing to the Smart Power division in Mebane, NC

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Assist in the successful implementation of New Product Introductions (NPI) into the manufacturing environment, ensuring readiness of tools, processes, and documentation.
  • Support product development activities by preparing materials, setting up equipment, and executing experimental production runs under the guidance of engineers or scientists.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Engineering, Quality, Production) to implement process changes and evaluate product performance during scale-up.
  • Assist in pilot-scale and small batch manufacturing to support product trials, ensuring consistency with specifications and safety protocols.
  • Support with requesting materials and organize material presentation for pilot production runs by coordinating with warehouse and production teams
  • Handle raw materials and finished products in compliance with handling procedures and inventory controls.
  • Participate in facility transformation projects, focusing on optimized space utilization and workflow improvements.
  • Demonstrate schedule flexibility, including occasional weekend availability, to support project timelines and critical implementation phases.
  • Provide hands-on support in the manufacturing of Lighting Panel, Power Panel, and Switchboard products.
  • Support Product Engineers with Manufacturing Change Coordination, ensuring seamless implementation of process and product updates.
  • Get familiarized with ELSP fabrication process

Qualifications for the role:
  • 3+ years of manufacturing with willingness to work hands on in the production floor
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity in Microsoft Excel, SAP and shop floor control
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Basic Lean Manufacturing knowledge
  • Authorized to work in the US legally
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Practical experience with applicable software
