ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is responsible for reading and interpreting production drawings and blueprints to build wooden forms and block-outs to precise specifications. The position involves measuring, assembling, and installing bed forms for concrete pouring while ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to design requirements. It is a hands-on, fast-paced construction role that requires attention to detail, tool proficiency, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Read and interpret production drawings/blueprints to construct wooden forms and block-outs to tight tolerances and specifications
  • Assemble custom-designed production forms in accordance with blueprint requirements and engineering standards
  • Build bed forms for concrete pouring, ensuring proper setup, alignment, and structural integrity for production use
  • Measure, install, and verify bed forms on trailers, ensuring all work adheres strictly to blueprints and accuracy standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while consistently following all safety policies and procedures


WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a dependable, hands-on candidate who is detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment. The ideal individual has a strong work ethic, can accurately follow measurements and blueprints, and is confident using a variety of hand and power tools. They are safety-focused, reliable, and willing to take direction while contributing to a team-driven production setting.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE



  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; on-the-job training provided
  • Some construction or rebar experience preferred
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch and understand basic measurements
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools such as nail guns, staple gun, hammer, saws, and sanders
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines, work in a fast-paced environment, and follow direction as needed


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
  • Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
  • Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors year-round
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
