Under direct supervision of the Copy Director, the Content Marketing Manager is responsible for content strategy, overseeing the company’s editorial calendar, and managing the development of content that drives creative and compelling campaigns, programs, and thought leadership for Connection. The Content Marketing Manager collaborates with colleagues across the company to define an integrated content marketing strategy that aligns with Connection's brand messaging and speaks to buyer problems and industry themes to drive the buyer’s journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads a collaborative process of ongoing content strategy development, editorial calendar management, review processes, and other activities related to the content lifecycle (development through retirement).
  • Understands and helps implement customer journey, and target content specific to the entire customer lifecycle, from top-of-funnel lead through renewal and up-sell.
  • Optimizes messaging and marketing strategy based on campaign and promotion results.
  • Ensures tracking mechanisms are in place for reporting purposes.
  • Ensures content generated by members of the Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Product Management teams, and other subject matter experts consistently aligns to brand and voice standards.
  • Supports demand generation programs with content designed to increase opportunities.
  • Fosters strong engagement and healthy cooperative partnerships with internal stakeholders, including product line, digital marketing, sales, and business leaders to understand relevant technology trends and customer needs.
  • Works with internal and external writers to manage the creation of Web and email content, blogs, podcasts, case studies, white papers, and other marketing collateral.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience working in marketing which provided B2B marketing experience, preferably for hardware, software and/or services in a channel marketing model.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including proficiency in PowerPoint and Word with the ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets.
  • Previous experience developing content strategy and managing an editorial calendar.
  • Marketing strategy with the ability to understand strategic objectives for marketing and develop plans to facilitate the obtainment of identified objectives.
  • Strong familiarity with Generative AI platforms, including Microsoft Copilot.
  • Solid critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Experience driving initiatives from conception through to completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with a track record of successfully influencing stakeholders.
  • Collaborative with the ability to work cross-functionally and across all levels of an organization.
  • Proficient in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Organized with the ability to multi-task and adhere to aggressive deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with item-by-item focus, meticulous attention to detail with the ability to proofread for accuracy.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders, including senior leadership.
