About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn't a buzzword - it's a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Senior Manager, Solution Engineering to lead and elevate a high-performing Financial Services SE team while shaping our customers' path into a new era of Data Foundations-spanning integration, data management, governance, and AI-driven outcomes.

This role is not about managing activity. It is about setting the bar, coaching excellence, and driving strategic impact at the intersection of business, data, and technology. You will be accountable for how our SEs show up with customers, how they partner with Sales, and how confidently we lead executive-level conversations around modern data architectures and AI-enabled transformation.

You will play a critical role in positioning MuleSoft, Informatica, Data360, and AI as a cohesive, outcome-driven Data Foundation strategy for Financial Services institutions.

What You'll Do

Build and Lead an Elite SE Team

  • Recruit, develop, and retain top-tier Solution Engineers aligned to Financial Services use cases and customers

  • Set clear expectations for technical excellence, executive presence, and customer impact

  • Observe SEs in live customer engagements and deliver direct, actionable coaching

  • Address underperformance early and decisively while actively developing future leaders

  • Empower the team to bring their best every day - Passion, Innovation, Attitude, Creativity

  • Help remove obstacles that prevent the SEs from performing to their best

Drive the Data Foundations Vision

  • Lead the technical and narrative strategy for Data Foundations across integration, data, governance, and AI

  • Ensure SEs can clearly articulate how MuleSoft, Informatica, Data360, and AI work together to enable:

    • Trusted data

    • Scalable architectures

    • AI-ready platforms

    • Measurable business outcomes

  • Translate complex architectural concepts into executive-level value discussions for CIOs, CDOs, CTOs, and line-of-business leaders

Be a Strategic Partner to Sales Leadership

  • Partner with AEs, RVPs, and AVPs on account strategy, opportunity prioritization, and resource alignment

  • Actively inspect pipeline and deal execution quality-not just coverage

  • Anticipate technical, data, and organizational risks before they surface in deals

  • Ensure SE engagement drives confidence, differentiation, and technical wins

Own Thought Leadership and Standards

  • Develop and enforce standards for discovery, solutioning, presentations, and demos

  • Shape Financial Services-specific points of view, use cases, and narratives around data and AI

  • Ensure content and guidance provided to Sales and SEs is high-quality, coherent, and field-ready

  • Remain personally accountable for the substance and quality of strategic deliverables-not delegated synthesis

What Success Looks Like
  • SEs consistently demonstrate executive presence and technical credibility in front of customers

  • Sales leadership actively seeks your partnership and trusts your judgment

  • Data Foundations conversations move beyond tools to outcomes, architecture, and strategy

  • Your team produces repeatable wins, differentiated POVs, and confident customer engagements

  • The organization feels a clear step-change in capability, rigor, and professionalism

  • Drive and maintain consistent operational rigor

What You Bring
  • 8+ years in Solution Engineering, Technical Pre-Sales, or Solutions Architecture, including people leadership

  • Deep experience in Financial Services (banking, insurance, capital markets, fintech, or payments)

  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration, data platforms, governance, and analytics

  • Comfort engaging and challenging senior executives with confidence and clarity

  • Proven ability to coach, inspect, and elevate senior technical professionals

  • A bias for accountability, clarity, and high standards

Why This Role Matters

Financial Services customers are moving fast toward AI-driven decisioning-but AI only works when data is trusted, connected, and governed. This role sits at the center of that shift. You will help define how our customers modernize their foundations-and how our SE organization leads that conversation with authority.

Unleash Your Potential

When you join Salesforce, you'll be limitless in all areas of your life. Our benefits and resources support you to find balance and be your best, and our AI agents accelerate your impact so you can do your best. Together, we'll bring the power of Agentforce to organizations of all sizes and deliver amazing experiences that customers love. Apply today to not only shape the future - but to redefine what's possible - for yourself, for AI, and the world.
