As Business Development and Brand Partnership Sr. Coordinator you will be responsible for developing the overall business plan & strategy and overseeing its implementation for the US Hispanic market. In this role, you will combine business development execution with data analysis, revenue forecasting, and performance measurement to drive sustainable revenue growth for Sony Music US Latin.

You will manage day-to-day partnership initiatives while leveraging analytical tools, financial modeling, and market research to identify strategic opportunities that extend the reach of Sony Music's artists and increase commercial performance.


What you'll do:

  • Spearhead business development initiatives that are consistent with Sony Music US Latin strategy
  • Identify key partners and expeditiously structure, lead and/or support negotiations and close US Latin partnership deals.
  • Proactively develop new business opportunities including brand marketing deals, touring, social media, PR campaigns, digital platforms, etc
  • Build strong relationships with new and existing decision-makers at ad agencies and brands in the US Latin market
  • Provide regular reporting of business status and deals
  • Interface with our internal Legal, Production, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure the feasibility of deals
  • Demonstrate ability to execute projects and deliver results.
  • Provide additional ways for the company to meet and increase its operating income goals through new forms of revenue
  • Act as initial point of contact with prospects via outbound calling and emailing to prospective brands and agencies
  • Provide general administrative support for the Head of the Sony Music US Latin Records Brand Partnerships & Commercial Licensing Dept, including expenses, travel and meeting arrangements, contacts and database management, scheduling, phones and invoices
  • Assist with various creative pitches and other special projects as directed by the Head of the Sony Music US Latin Records Brand Partnerships & Commercial Licensing Dept.
  • Develop account specific presentations, mailings, proposals & creative selling case studies
  • Conduct internal and external research as requested


Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, music management, or related field. MBA is preferred, but not required
  • Must be fluent in Spanish and English
  • 3-5 years of entertainment, music, or marketing and advertising industry. (required)
  • Expert-level knowledge of music, advertising, media business models, and digital media
  • 3-5 years of sales and business development experience is needed. (NB brands/sponsorship is preferred)
  • Experience building and managing a business development team for US Latin market
  • Strong understanding of marketing in the entertainment industry
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment
  • Experience with forecasting and revenue reporting
  • Negotiations of marketing or media alliances
  • Project planning and strategy development
  • Entrepreneurial creative spirit, with a passion for music and business strategy.
  • Experience simultaneously managing the execution of multiple projects at any given time
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative
  • Passionate about music and the music industry
  • You are well versed in lifestyle, culture, music, and brands
  • An excellent verbal and written communicator
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
